Our resin bound system uses a natural stone aggregate which is held together in place with a tough polyurethane resin. Surface applications include patio areas, driveways, footpaths, and for use in general landscaping projects.
This surface has been developed to combat the problems of loose stone surfacing becuase the stone tends to spread and will thus collect certain debris such as weeds or rubbish. And with a wide choice of aggregates, obtaining a finish which belnds well with its surroundings is easily achievable.
In this system the aggregate is mixed with the polyurethane resin and and spread as a thick smooth screed. The are no limits to the depth it can be laid and larger aggregates may be used but we recommend an aggregate size no greater than 10mm.
Our system has a huge advantage over cement based systems due primarily to its flexibility and rapid curing time. It can be laid on a variety of surfaces and can accomodate surfaces where potentially the substrate is moveable, such as tarmacadam or bitumen.
